Yes, I did self-abandon myself. The grief was unbearable. Losing my mommy and my furbaby back-to-back was painful, and for a while, I didn’t want to move forward. But in March, something in me began to change, something shifted. I believe it was my angels—my mom, my sister, and Lulu—guiding me. I made the decision to start living again, even with the pain still present. I understand that life will look different now, and it always will. But I am giving it my very best, taking it one step at a time.
