    Slavery versus Sonship
    Galatians 4:8-31

You can be out of spiritual slavery, but still have slavery in your reflexes.
In this passage, Paul is reminding us that we are not slaves! We are adopted, wanted, and forever in the family of God. Slaves obey out of fear. Sons obey out of belonging.
Many of us today fall into legalism by treating Christian obedience as a means to earn God’s favor, rather than a grateful response to grace already received. What would it look like for you to stop earning God’s approval and start resting in it?

    John 15:9-17

We love a lot of things, but there is only one love that is so transformative and worth abiding in. It’s the love of Jesus.

    • Obedience is how to remain in Christ’s love.
    • Obedience leads to joy, not misery.
    • Obedience is tested by how you love others.
    • Obedience is not slavery –– it’s friendship.

    The Gospel
    Galatians 4:1-7

We are free spiritually, but we so often circle back to spiritual slavery by trying to secure our own security. But we were not saved by our righteousness, nor do we keep our salvation by doing good. We’re saved because Jesus stepped onto the cross, in our place, died the death we should have died, so that we can have His life!
In this passage, we see that God wants a personal relationship with us. He’s our Dad. That it’s not about standing at attention and reciting the right words, but that this is a relationship with a loving Dad who wants us to know Him.

    • We were slaves to sin
    • The Father sent the Son to redeem and adopt us
    • Our relationship with God is close and personal

    It’s Not What You Think
    Galatians 2:15—3:1-9

In this passage, Paul drives home that you’re not saved by your own effort, but through faith in Jesus Christ. Not only are you initially saved by faith… You’re continually saved by faith!
Christians often think that we’re saved by the gospel, but then we grow by our own efforts. But we are not just saved by the gospel. We grow by applying the gospel to every part of life.

    Taking Titus Along
    Galatians 2:1-10

We could never save ourselves. So God the Father sent His Son to save us from our sin, pay the penalty we could never pay,and rise again from death. However, Jesus didn’t save you just to get you to heaven—He saved you to make disciples and change the world, for His glory.

    Jesus’ disciplemaking strategy

    • Come and see
    • Follow me
    • Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men
    • Go and bear fruit

    A Purposeful Journey
    Galatians 1:11-24

Paul’s message in Galatians is one centered on the grace of Jesus, not the works of man. Our salvation and purpose are given and sustained by Jesus. Once God saves us through His grace, it completely changes our lives. It transforms how we see the world, what we live for, and who we depend on for significance and purpose.

All the promises being made to you by the world appear so attractive. But hope is only found in Jesus and He gave up so much to deliver you from the world’s way. Step toward Him today!

    Put God first in:

    • My day (Bible and prayer)
    • My week (church)
    • My money (tithe)

Every Day is New Year’s Day
    Revelation 21:1-6

Every day should feel like New Year’s Day. The key to that is not the specific day or your self-determination to keep resolutions, but instead is the God of the universe who makes all things new. Our God is a God of future promises, but He is also a God of abundant life today. Every day is New Year’s Day through Him.
