We are embarking on a new partnership with Compassion International. Compassion’s Mission statement is releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name. It is a church-centered, Jesus-centered, disciple-making organization. They do everything through a local church, a Bible-believing church. This is who we are as a church. We are the people who take care of people, especially the ones who society has thrown out. If you’re following in the way of Jesus, you’re serving people who no one else cares about.

Prayer is a matter of practice. Little practices that grow into a life of praying without ceasing. Fasting helps us gain a new perspective and a renewed reliance upon God. We fast and pray to get closer to Jesus!

• The purpose of fasting is to take our eyes off the things of this world and to focus completely on God.
• Denying yourself lies at the root of much of your spiritual growth.

• An active prayer life leads us to a shameless posture of seeking Him.
• An active prayer life pushes us to be active in our faith!
• An active prayer life leads us to grow in intimacy with Him.
