    In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, former Vice President Dick Cheney, a force in Republican politics for over 30 years and one of the most powerful people to hold the second-highest office in the U.S., died Tuesday. He was 84. In a statement, Cheney's family said he died Monday night of complications of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease, surrounded by his wife of 61 years, Lynne, daughters Liz and Mary and other family members. Before becoming vice president in the George W. Bush administration, Cheney served as defense secretary, White House chief of staff and a Wyoming congressman. Also Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced airspace restrictions Wednesday as the ongoing federal government shutdown continues to affect the nation’s transportation system, some Democratic senators may be getting on board to help open the Government and the President's "nuclear option".     In part two of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, Justice Amy Coney Barrett had pointed questions Wednesday about the law Donald Trump invoked to impose global tariffs, joining several other justices on the right and left in voicing skepticism about the president’s ability to use a tool he has deemed critical to carrying out his economic agenda. Solicitor General John Sauer repeatedly argued during the lengthy 2½-hour oral arguments that the emergency law Trump used to enact the tariffs for nearly every U.S. trading partner contained language about regulating imports, which Sauer said included using tariffs. The relevant statute permits the president to "regulate … nullify [and] void … importation," but it does not use the word "tariff." used to listen all the time. Gary continually interrupts and loses his place and sounds like dementia is setting in. he talks about golf and his family constantly which frankly is not relevant on a national talk show. now all they do is trash Trump and act like they are economists. difficult to listen anymore.
