  • Red Cup Special is a mediacast/podcast hosted by John Thorpe and Mike E. The two show host chat about important topics such as pop culture, sports, music, politics, and many other things while drinking (often but not always) alcohol out of a red cup with a guest the two are interviewing. The show based out of Alamance County started in 2020 when the pandemic hit North Carolina. The then three (John Thorpe, Mike E, and Tez) hosts started talking to people via zoom and decided to start recording them. The show ended after one season even though it averaged 1.9k streams a week. Due to prior engagements co-host Tez left the show but still made regular appearances in their lone season.
