Today we're sharing one of our very first conversations setting the stage for Embody Sobriety, our mental-health & sobriety support program launching this summer, 2023.In the meantime, we are building a free community of support with weekly live offerings: the Embody Sobriety Collective <--- we'd love to see you there!
We see the word sobriety as being synonymous with a mindset of presence, or, practicing active (voluntary/intentional) present-moment-awareness.It is an action; a life-long practice for us ALL that is finally getting its due as far as its role in maintaining our physical and mental health--but much more on that in upcoming conversations.

We can't wait to get this community growing & to share our perspective that being addicted to alcohol, a highly toxic substance widely drilled into our identities from toddlerhood as a happiness-inducer is simply not. your. damn. fault! Someone cue Good Will Hunting cuz' it's not your fault. Having a hard time taking alcohol out of your lifestyle, especially if it is a regular part of your routine simply means you're a human with a brain reacting to a substance exactly they way it's supposed to.

I love the defining and redefining of a term sobriety that could be thought of as a negative label or stigma. Your story shows those who may question their relationship around alcohol that its ok, to get Sober curious, step out of your comfort zone and join this revolution of healthy living AF! The substance itself is the problem. Not the person. I look forward to hearing more content on the subject!
