Heath and Josh reconnect with their friend Sydney Dishon for a follow-up episode that picks up right where their last conversation left off—only this time, her life looks a whole lot different. Since they last had her on the show about two years ago, Sydney has traded in Central Texas for the fast-paced world of Jacksonville, making the leap from Temple to a much bigger and more unpredictable news market.

Sydney reflects on her time working at KCEN-TV, where stories often leaned lighter and more community-focused, before diving into her new role at First Coast News. She shares how covering news in Jacksonville has been a completely different experience—faster, tougher, and sometimes a bit more chaotic—forcing her to grow quickly both professionally and personally.

The conversation balances the challenges with plenty of humor and heart. Sydney admits she misses the comforts of home, especially Texas BBQ and being close to friends and family, something Heath and Josh can’t resist giving her a hard time about. At the same time, she highlights the unexpected perks of Florida life—easy access to the beach, fresh seafood, and building strong friendships with her new coworkers.

Looking ahead, Sydney opens up about her ambitions to continue climbing in the industry, with her sights set on eventually becoming a news anchor in a larger market. It’s a candid, relatable episode about taking risks, chasing career goals, and learning how to thrive when life takes you far from home.
