Random thoughts of a student: Why did Jesus tell people to keep quiet?

Why on earth did Jesus keep telling people to be quiet after he performed miracles or had some kind of revelation about him as the messiah? Here we look at a couple of reasons as to why Jesus did this seemingly confusing thing.
