John opens his Gospel with a breathtaking truth: Jesus is the eternal Word who became flesh. In Him we see the light of the world and the full revelation of God’s grace and truth.

What began with famine and loss ends with redemption, restoration, and a glimpse of the greater Redeemer to come.

Ruth steps forward in faith, Boaz acts with covenant faithfulness, and God continues weaving a story of redemption.

God’s covenant kindness reaches the undeserving through a redeemer. In Ruth 2, before Naomi or Ruth see hope and before redemption is complete, God's providence is already at work.

In Ruth 1, famine and loss send Naomi home empty and bitter, but Ruth doesn’t just stay with her, she binds herself to Naomi, her people, and her God with a solemn vow. In the darkness of the time of the Judges, God is quietly at work, pointing us toward the Redeemer and reminding us where real hope and belonging are found.
