We finally made it! Today, we look at - and celebrate - the last pages - the final scene of the whole Bible! What we find is - the end is just like the beginning. It's a new Eden - an eternal paradise! Earth has been re-created - returned to its original state of perfection, and has been rejoined with the heavenly realm, so that the presence of God permeates the atmosphere and saturates every molecule of existence! Chapter 22 opens with this incredible vision of the river of the water of life, lined by the trees of life as far as the eye can see! There is no longer any curse, and those who live there will see God's face! There shall no longer be any night, or any need of a lamp, for the Lord God will illumine them - and they shall reign forever and ever! What a picture and a promise! The book closes with a promise, an admonition, and a warning. Don't add to these words or take anything away. It is exactly what it is! Then - the book closes with these final iconic words. Yes, I am coming quickly. John responds with Amen. Maranatha. Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all. That is our prayer for you!

The battles have been fought - the outcomes have been decided. It's final - it's over! Judgment has taken place - and it's final! Death has been put to death, and all evil has been thrown into the lake of fire that burns eternally! What does John see next? I saw a new heaven and a new earth - for the 1st heaven and the 1st earth passed away! Then - the holy city - New Jerusalem - is coming down out of heaven from God! It's a gorgeous city - beautiful - dripping with precious stones and symbolism! It's God's forever kingdom! The heavens and the earth are rejoined together - and God will dwell with His people! He will wipe away every tear from their eyes - and there shall no longer be any death! It's a new existence in a re-created Eden! What will this look like> What will it be like to live in it? That's what we're talking about today!

We've done a lot of heavy lifting in our journey through this apocalyptic masterpiece - and today we go for all the marbles! We are tackling the most challenging and controversial topic in all of end times theology! It all has to do with a thousand years! The millennium, they call it. Satan is bound and thrown into the abyss for 1,000 years. Thrones are set up - and those who had not taken the mark will reign with Christ for 1,000 years. The rest of the dead are raised after 1,000 years. Satan is released after 1,000 years! The bad actors are thrown into the lake of fire, and then comes the white throne and the final judgment! If you've been tracking with us through this series, you know we won't take that 1,000-year number literally - or chronologically. We're rebellious that way! There is a different and more faithful way to look at this that just makes everything make sense! What is this fresh take? Tune in! You might have your eyes opened and your mind blown!

We're finally here! It's the final showdown - for all the marbles! The dragon - the beasts - the kings of the earth, and their forces - are all gathered in this iconic place. Armageddon - or in Hebrew - Har-Magedon. It's that place we all know about - Megiddo! That's where it's all going to play out! Or is it? Is this wide spot in the desert really where the cosmic battle takes place - or is there another way of reading Har-Magedon that means something different? It just might shock you and inspire you! Anyway, the scene opens with another vision of Jesus. This time, He's riding a white horse and decked out! He's clothed with a robe dipped in blood and has a sword! But it's coming out of His mouth - with which to smite the nations! There is rich symbolism dripping everywhere! An angel cries out with a loud voice, inviting all birds to the great supper of God! What's on the menu? Tune in and you'll find out! You'll also find out - this is not much of a battle. Spoiler alert - Jesus wins!

In this episode, we dive headfirst into the most iconic chapter of Revelation - chapter 19. There is so much packed in here that we decided to divide it into two parts. This is Pt. 1 - vs. 1-10. It begins with another heavenly worship scene around the throne. This time, all of the heavenly host sings Hallelujah! It's a celebration of the mighty acts of God - bringing down Babylon! Then comes the invitation for all creation to join in. It's a worship explosion! The scene shifts to another celebration. It's a giant heavenly banquet! Blessed, He says, are all those who have been invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb! His bride has made herself ready! It is reminiscent of all the meals with God in the Bible - and the cosmic banquet of the Little Apocalypse in Isaiah 24-27 - and we go there! Come with us to this heavenly feast!

It's done - over - finished! Babylon, the great city, and all who conspire with her to oppress and exploit God's good creation - they're all coming down! In the first movement, we see the funeral. Another angel comes down from heaven. He cries out with a mighty voice! Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! All the nations have drunk her wine - participated in her immorality - been in bed with her! Another voice thunders from the heavens! Come out of her, My people! Her sins have piled up as high as the heavens! It is a dramatic kind of moment! In the second movement, we see the mourners. The kings of the earth - the merchants - and the shipmasters. They are in shock! They never imagined this great empire could ever fall - in one hour! They weep - mourn - mostly for their bank accounts. A strong angel takes up a millstone - throws it into the sea! This is you, Babylon! He declares she will be empty - desolate forever! In her is found the blood of the saints - prophets - apostles - and all who have been slain on the earth! Come on - join us on this wild ride!

In this episode, we see John stepping out of time and experiencing a vision within a vision. He is carried away in the Spirit and shown an image that is so shocking, grotesque, and horrifying that he can't turn away! It's a woman - sitting on a scarlet beast full of blasphemous names, having 7 heads and 10 horns! She is drunk with the blood of the saints and the witnesses of Jesus.. The angel explains - in symbolic and cryptic language. The 7 heads are 7 mountains - the 10 horns are kings. Some will rise - some will be brought down - others will rule for a short time. Their one purpose is to give their power and authority to the beast! They wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will ultimately prevail. Humiliated and defeated, the kings and the beast turn on the woman and devour her! Crystal clear, right? Join us as we traverse this bizarre territory and untangle this madness!

The heavenly signal is given - and the 7 angels waste no time pouring out their bowls of the wrath of God in rapid succession! The 1st - loathsome and malignant sores upon those who worship the beast and have taken his mark. 2nd - the sea turns to blood! 3rd - rivers/springs turn to blood! The sun turns hot and scorches men with fire, then the sun is turned off! It plunges the world into utter darkness! The Euphrates River is dried up - making way for an invasion from the east! Does anyone repent? No! They blaspheme the name of God! The beasts and the dragon are not going quietly, though. Out of their mouths come strange frog-spirits - spirits of demons that go out to gather the world's kings for the war of the great day of God. Where? You guessed it - Armageddon! What is this place?
