For decades, the story of The Nine has lived on the fringes of UFO research and consciousness studies.
Most people who have encountered the material know it through the book The Only Planet of Choice, compiled from sessions involving Phyllis Schlemmer, whose communications with a group of alleged non-human intelligences attracted scientists, researchers, and curious thinkers throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
But far fewer people know the story of Palden Jenkins — one of the researchers who worked closely with the group around Schlemmer and helped bring this material to a wider audience.
In this new conversation, Palden joins Cosmic Clock to discuss his experiences with the Nine sessions, the origins of the Schlemmer material, and how his work eventually led him into decades of research into sacred landscapes, crop circles, and ancient Earth mysteries.
Palden has also spent many years traveling and working throughout the Middle East, a region whose deep history and ongoing conflicts often intersect with questions about humanity’s spiritual and cultural evolution.
With tensions once again rising in the region - including the current conflict involving Iran- our discussion also touches on how the ideas surrounding the Nine framed humanity as a developing planetary civilization facing difficult but transformative challenges.
Whether viewed as spiritual philosophy, historical curiosity, or something stranger, the story of the Nine continues to raise fascinating questions about the nature of consciousness and humanity’s place in a much larger universe.
