REPORT 2: Steven Halpern's Intergalactic Music Lesson

Steven Halpern is a Grammy-nominated composer and one of the pioneers of modern sound healing music. Emerging from the consciousness movement of the 1970s, Halpern helped define what would become known as New Age music- creating spacious, meditative compositions designed to calm the nervous system and shift awareness. His landmark album Eastern Peace carries an even more unusual origin story: Halpern has said the music came through him following sessions with psychic Greta Woodrew and an alleged extraterrestrial intelligence known as “The Ogatta Group,” linking his work to the same experimental world that surrounded parapsychologist Andrija Puharich.
