The Scriptures exhort us to “pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another” (Romans 14:19). This pursuit is in harmony with pursuing righteousness. The context of Romans 14 instructs us to pursue peace and edification by loving brethren more than our liberties and focusing on building up others instead of tripping up others.
