Psalm 19 - Part 13

David is standing in awe of God who speaks twice - once through creation and once through Scripture. The heaven's open their mouth and proclaim God's Word. A daily proclaimation of God's glory. Nature becomes a cathedral and the sun marches across the sky reminding us that God's presence is unavoidable. The second half of Psalm 19 brings us close enough to hear God's voice in His Word. The law is not a burden but a gift -- reviving the soul, steadying the simple, gladdening the heart, enlightening the eyes. God restores He doesn't destroy. David then ends where God leads: humility. David hears God who speaks through galaxies and where God sees every hidden corner of the human heart. So he then prays the prayer every disciple must learn to pray: "Make me clean on the inside, and let my life be pleasing in Your sight."
