    Brought to you by www.steelflyers.com

Warning! Prospect Watch is not your average hockey podcast and that's OK with us.

Our goal is to introduce you to stars in the making from all over the world. They may not be household names yet but we assure you they will be soon enough.

Welcome to Prospect Watch a Pod Cast that focuses solely on the discovery and promotion of some of the best young talent in the game today from all reaches of the world.

As my partner Steel stated my name is Lance Green and I'll be your host for the next half hour as we sit down with the Massive Moldovan Alexander Karmanov a 7'0 defenseman who just committed to playing for Penn State.

    Getting Familiar:
For those of you that aren't one of many people that heard and were intrigued by this impressive 7'0 tall 273 pound 17 year old that immediately tried to either google or You Tube him, let me tell you there is more to Alex's game than just his size. Alex who came over from Moldova to join the W/B Scranton Knights this year has improved his game so much since his arrival. Sure, with great size comes GREAT strength which Alex has no problem exerting on the opposition along the boards in an effort to regain control of the puck.
And utilize a pretty impressive wrister from the point that allowed him to net 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points in only 20 games played this season in the Atlantic Youth Hockey League. And another 4 goals and 6 assists for 10 points in 15 games in the more competitive 16U AAA League.

Welcome to Prospect Watch a Pod Cast that focuses solely on the discovery and promotion of some of the best young talent in the game today from all reaches of the world.

As Steel my "Co-Host" alluded to in the opening, I'm your host Lance Green and in this episode, we will be trying to shed light on a prospect who I think people are sleeping on right now.

And, that Prospect is none other than forward Jordan Gavin of the WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings.

    Getting Familiar:
So, for those of you that are not familiar with Jordan, or his game let me fill you in a bit. When a team inserts Gavin into their lineup, they are getting a player who just "Gets things offensively". And what I mean by that is while other players his age are quick to rush a play, just to get the puck off
their stick. Jordan is more meticulous. From the moment he carries that puck across the blue line into the offensive zone Gavin starts to analyze the situation, and judge whether a scoring chance is there or not. If one is not there, he will circle away from the defenders that are putting pressure on him so that he can patiently wait for something to develop. And, when on a fast break without the puck on his stick, you can rest assure that Gavin has the vision necessary to dip in-behind oblivious defenders to set himself up to net an easy "put in".

As my old Crony Steel said, I'm your host Lance Green and today we are lucky enough to bring back a good friend of the show a Mr. Rocco Pelosi.

    Getting Re-Familiar:
So, for those of you that are viewing this podcast for the first time let me tell you, are in for a treat, because Rocco here out of all the amazing young prospects that we've interviewed over the years holds the title for our most viewed Prospect Watch Show. And, for good reason. Rocco is a 16-year-old Hockey Prodigy that was born and raised in the state of NJ. And, last time we talked to him (about 9-10 months ago now) he had just finished his 14U season at Mount Saint Charles Academy where he scored an incredible 87 GOALS, AND 83 ASSISTS FOR 170 POINTS! That helped him win a National Championship. Now, after hearing those kind of stats. It should come as no surprise to hear that this young man and his team just managed to run it back again winning his second National Championship this time in the 15U age bracket. Where he managed to net an astonishing 65 goals and 75 assists for 140 points during the regular season for an average of 2.3 points-per-game.

Welcome to Prospect Watch a Pod Cast that focuses solely on the discovery and promotion of some of the best young talent in the game today from all reaches of the world.

Seeing that we have one of this years top rated draft prospects a Mr. Roger McQueen from
    the WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings.

    Getting Familiar:
McQueen is considered one of the Top-Rated Prospects in this draft, largely do his physical attributes that just can't be taught. So, much so that at 6'5 and 192 pounds he not only has the kind of size and strength every NHL team dreams of their top line center man possessing, the kind of size that most NBA teams would consider ideal for their future shooting guard. With that being said we all know that size alone does not warrant a 1st round pick especially one from within the lottery. But, lucky for those teams that are drafting that early Roger has the skill to go along with the size.

Aidan thank you so much for agreeing to sit down with us tonight.

    Getting Familiar:
Now, if you're not familiar with Aidan, or his game I won't hold it against you because apparently you would not be the only one. Considering that for reasons unbeknownst to me Aidan was overlooked by every NHL team in last years draft. Despite him averaging 1.66 points-per-game last season for the renowned Shattuck St. Mary's Prep High School Team, where he scored 30 goals and 63 assists for 93 points in only 56 games played. But nevertheless, it would appear that Aidan has not let these clubs momentary lapse in judgment affect his play seeing that this 6'1 185-pound two-way center with a high motor has not missed a beat this season seeing that he can still be found outworking the competition on a nightly basis up in Green Bay with the Gamblers.Where through 46 games played this year in the USHL he has managed to post 26 goals and 29 assists for 55 points in only 46 games played.
