In my review of this 2nd Podcast, I described my experience as a victim of marital rape and my subsequent divorce in 1992.

It should be noted that spousal, or marital rape in the United States was not made illegal until July of 1993.

As a result, I had to list the cause for my petition for divorce as " cruel and inhumane treatment". I was not legally allowed to refer to the act as rape.

I cannot support any regression in regard to women's autonomy.
