  • First, the plaintiffs were hired to cater an extravagant masquerade birthday party. The plaintiffs say the defendants still owe them money because the waitstaff didn’t get paid what they were owed. They’re suing for unpaid bills and time and energy. The defendants argued they agreed to pay one hourly rate, but it’s not on them to cover the extra cost if the plaintiffs promised a higher rate. They’re countersuing for a taste testing charge. Then, the plaintiff argues the defendant’s kids jumped on her car and completely damaged the sunroof and windshield, so she’s suing for car damages. The defendant argues no one saw her kids on the car, which was stored in the backyard and broken already. Plus, the plaintiff brings her former friend to court. She says she loaned him money for his business, but then he disappeared. She’s suing for an unpaid loan. The defendant argues he worked for the money that the plaintiff paid him.
