Although Trump once claimed he could end the war in 24 hours, he now suggests a ceasefire is unlikely but maintains that a peace deal is near. Additionally, federal forces and the National Guard have been mobilized in Washington, D.C., amid a redistricting battle between Republicans and Democrats.
