SY Novara, a Bestevear 60C with two carbon fibre aero rigs, have finished the North West Passage with their current custodians Veronica Lysaght and Nigel Jollands. It is the second time Novara sails through the icy and mythical passage at the top of the world. The couple is on a climate mission as they sail from the UK to New Zealand—the Novara - One Planet Project. We made a podcast with them before they were on Greenland: NWP sailing with a purpose.
You can read more about the boat and the project on Novara.
If you need information about sailing in the high latitudes check out the book I wrote with Bob Shepton: High Latitude Sailing – Self-sufficient sailing techniques for cold waters and winter seasons.
