I was introduced to this podcast via the limited series My Word as Vorkosigan. I was so pleased with that whole special look at my hands down favorite scifi books series that I was drawn by curiosity to listen to some of the main podcast episodes. It only took one to get me hooked on listening and only a few more to convert me to a romance reader. Something I thought was not possible. I've always been a scifi/fantasy and mystery/suspense reader (well, and the classics, as an English Lit major!) but like many people of my age and background, a little disdainful of the romance genre. Let me tell you, I could not have been more wrong about it as a whole. Yes, there really is a lot of terribly written, completely unbelievable stuff out there. But there is also a lot of very interesting, fun, funny, deep, and lovely work. Also, as a reader and writer of fanfiction, I probably should not cast shade on other people's escapism.
So Meg and Laine (and Alex) great job! I love this podcast and wish you all many more years of happy reading and joyful reviewing.
