  • 113. P.M. Book Club - A Playground of Broken Hearts - Andrew Wild and Gregory Spawton
    Jul 8 2025

Mezza & Craig are joined by Andrew Wild and Greg Spawton to chat about Andrew's new book " A Playground of Broken Hearts - The Progressive Rock Revival 1984-1989" - the follow up to last years "A Mirror of Dreams".

This book chronicles the remainder of the eighties for Marillion, IQ, Twelfth Night, Solstice, Pallas and Pendragon. These years feature lots of great music, numerous personnel changes, the height of Marillion's popularity with the Misplaced Childhood album, the departure of Fish and the arrival of Steve Hogarth.

There is also a lengthy chapter at the end of the book covering lots of other bands from the scene including amongst others, It Bites, Haze, No Man & La Host.

The book is out now and available online from Burning Shed.
