Pinoys vs. 'Shin Godzilla'

Welcome back to another episode of Pinoys vs. The World!

Today, the Pinoy boys dive into recent classic, Shin Godzilla, after its 4K remaster was rereleased in theaters nationwide. As one of Japan’s two acclaimed modern-Godzilla adaptations, alongside Godzilla Minus One, to come out over the past decade, Shin Godzilla hit the big screens with a lot to say and a genuinely horror-type version of our favorite Kaiju.

Directed by Hideaki Anno (Neon Genesis Evangelion) and Shinji Higuchi, their version of Godzilla tears through Tokyo as the bureaucratic powers in government scramble to find a solution to stop the giant lizard from destroying Japan and the world. Does Anno’s story hold up after a decade from its initial release or does it fall flat compared to its successor? Stay tuned to find out.
