Pining for Pixels # 147 - Ranking: The Resident Evil Series

Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!

With Resident Evil 9 Requiem on the precipice of release, I thought it would be the right time to present my personal ranking of all the mainline Resident Evil games in the franchise. I have been a Resident Evil fan since the original game on the PS1, and it has been a wild ride ever since for the series. Plenty of highs and lows, but we are left with a very unique series that created a new genre, and another impressive notch in the belt of Capcom. My list is only on the mainline series, being Resident Evil 0 through Resident Evil 8 (and also including Resident Evil Code Veronica, and the various remakes as part of it).
