This could be a very consequential week in British politics and law. Kim Leadbeater's Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill won't become law on Friday, November 29, but, if passed, will begin the rigourous process on its way to potentially become an Act of Parliament and become law.

It would introduce assisted dying for adults, 18 and over, who are terminally ill and have six months or less left to live. It has split Parliament, including the Labour cabinet.

Former Sheffield Central MP Paul Blomfield is the chair of Dignity in Dying, an organisation working to have assisted dying for the terminally ill introduced into UK law. Scoop host Harry Harrison went to Westminster two days before the vote and spoke with Paul on College Green, right outside the Palace of Westminster.

The Sheffield Scoop is recorded, edited and produced by Harry Harrison.
