    We also look at how skills and confidence can be enhanced by training and in partnership with other consumers and clinicians.

    Julie McCrossin talks to Laila Hallam and Shona Edwards, both highly experienced health consumer leaders, about their journeys from patient or carer to ‘rep’. 

    We also look at the other side with Ben Bravery, the patient doctor, and Dr Sandra Turner and discover how health services work with community representatives to improve, design and run their health services.

    How can we give and receive feedback? And why do consumers have a unique perspective to identify risks and harms that doctors and nurses may not see? 

    There are informal and formal ways to give feedback. Julie McCrossin, Graeme Slade, Nadine El-Kabbout and Nat and Kai Rataj chat about the range of ways we can give and receive feedback and how to do it in the most effective way possible.
