In this podcast, Nathan Blair, founder of the somatic school, talks about the concepts of embodied self-awareness and conceptual self-awareness, and their impact on leadership. We explore the role of the nervous system in co-regulation and self-regulation within organisations, the significance of the default mode network in innovation, and the use of the resonant circuitry to perceive the environment. The conversation also delves into the mystical realm of the non-dual collective unconscious and humanity's quest to address the ‘crisis of meaning’ as a species.
After leaving the corporate world to coach full-time, Nathan immersed himself in somatic practice. Over the years he learnt from founding thinkers and practitioners in Somatic Psychology, Interpersonal Neurobiology and Body Psychotherapy. The Somatic School was born out of the desire to create the coach training he himself had longed for.
