The village name is Chandipur through which goes a small river. The river is now connected to the village and its villagers on both of its banks. Vanikanth's house is on one of such banks and it always attracts anyone traveling through the river. But no one ever noticed that dumb girl. The poor child loved sitting next to the river on the bank. It helped her keep her sanity in this world.
