  • Re-share: Our Conversation with Brian Stack!
    Oct 2 2025

We love Brian!!!! I loved this conversation so much!!!!! Full disclosure, we kept thinking of things to talk about, so enjoy our many "endings" that turned into other stories LOL

Brian Stack played Ted in Article Two, and the jeweler when Ann and Chris go to the jewelery store, BUT he was a writer on Conan for 18 years, he currently writes for Stephen Colbert and I talked his ear off about it all! We discuss his beginnings in Second City in Chicago, how he knew Amy Poehler, and advice for young sketch performers. I ask 800 questions about his Conan characters too and it's so cool to see the inception of it all! We also got some great behind the scenes tidbits about cracking an egg on Amy Poehler's head and how he was glad they used a stunt man! Plus, we discuss New Girl, 30 Rock and more shows he was a guest star on!

Brian is the nicest, most grateful person and I am so lucky and honored to have spoken with him about his time in this industry! His gratitude is inspiring and I wish him nothing but the best. Please be sure to check out this compilation of characters, and check out his writing on the Colbert Show!!!!!

  • (S6Ep7) Recall Vote!
    Sep 18 2025

Oh dear, it's Recall Vote day, and we are all emotional. Ben and Ann set up a task force to help Leslie stay distracted, Tom makes some great entrepreneur decisions and we get introduced to Bloosh!!!

It's so interesting to see the parallels between Tom and Leslie, and the inspiring way they bounce back. And om em squee, we love destructive Ben and Leslie.

Plus, we hear from Craig Stepp, who played the Eagletonian supporting Leslie (even though they weren't going to vote for her.... ugh) 😂 Thank you so much for the great voice memos, so cool!

Now, go rate, review and subscribe because this podcast no longer is, it was.

  • (S6Ep6) Filibuster!
    Sep 11 2025

Today, Leslie fights for our voting rights!!!!!!!

We talk about the history of the filibuster, the (early) 90s vibes, and get an awesome location breakdown for the skating rink, which is now a resource of the unhoused in the Los Angeles valley (follow the links below)!

We also have a tangent regarding Orphan Black starring Tatiana Maslany, who plays Nadia, (check that out when you can, it's on Netflix now!) Also, we come up with a new friendship name of "Ronna" for Donna and Ron spending time together! Love!

  • (S6Ep5) Gin It Up!
    Aug 28 2025

Today on the pod, we're back to basics with Parks romance (Tom and Nadya "whatever-her-last-name-is"), Parks coworker relationships (Donna and Leslie), and Ron being Ron, not quite understanding he has a family now and needs a will. :)

We discuss details about the importance of having a will, how social media mishaps do happen and we learn what the phrase "Gin It Up" actually means. Full disclosure, gin the drink isn't involved (at least how it's used these days).

AND we introduce Nadya and Typhoon, so good! Yay!!!!

    Thanks for listening!

  • Our Conversation with Stephanie Erb!
    Aug 14 2025

Today, we have a guest from Season 1 Episode 6, "Rock Show" - Stephanie Erb! Stephanie played Ron's date/Tammy 2's "Younger, prettier sister" - go back and watch it as a refresher, so fun!

We have a really great walk-down-memory-lane on this episode in particular and discuss her journey in acting, booking her first big role, our fav TV shows and of course our favorite things about Parks and Rec!! Yes, they deserve all the Emmys! Plus, so cool to see the symbolic green bench at the pit in Season 1 versus Season 6 that we are reviewing now!

PS, we said she auditioned for the Office, but it may have been a Parks and Rec audition first - either way, good on casting for remembering and bringing her back!

Please check out her awesome projects and don't forget to see her show in LA at the Road Theatre Company next month!

    Thank you so much Stephanie!

We meet the Eagleton Parks crew to find out who stays and goes, Leslie crashes out about Ann, and Ben/Chris have a nostalgic moment. • (S6Ep3) The Pawnee-Eagleton Tip Off Classic
    Jul 17 2025

Classic episode alert! Leslie struggles with Ben being on her side, Tom and Donna try to get Ron off the grid, and April and Ann learn about making tough decisions by trusting your gut. :)

    Things we learned:

    - Not everyone was super pleased with this episode when it came out, what?!

    - Aubrey Plaza is a huge fan of Chris Bosh and told a hilarious story on Conan about meeting Bosh. (link below)

    - "How you like them apples?" was made famous by Good Will Hunting. (Madi knew, I did not lol)

    Check it out:

Norm Hiscock, our fav producer in all the land, has a new show coming out - it's the King of the Hill reboot!!! Comes out on Hulu in August! Yay!

  • (S6Ep2) London: Part 2!
    Jul 3 2025

What a learning week! Things we learn:

-Hugh Jackman is not what a wolverine looks like. LOL

-Coffee grounds can in fact drive slugs away, but it's not always 100% effective.

-Stonehenge is 2 hours away from London, so Andy REALLY missed the train.

-Mongolia is super interesting to learn about and Khongordzol is a Queen.

-Reindeer (caribou) is definitely eaten in Scandinavian countries. Sorry, Vixen.

-The people around you love you and respect you more than you know. And they're showing you even if you don't believe it at first.

    -Webisodes!

Summary: Ron gives Leslie sound advice on how to move forward and in return, Leslie gives Ron a trip he'll never forget. Ann and Chris tell everyone about the baby, and Tom charges forward with Rent A Swag. Oh yeah and Andy takes a London job!

Thank you and don't forget to rate and review!
