The show opens with the Carolina Panthers winning the NFC South in the most NFC South way possible — backing into the title after whiffing on their chance to clinch it against Tampa Bay. In the end, it doesn’t matter. After everything the franchise has endured since its last playoff appearance in 2017, a division title is a division title. Plus, the guys note some familiar vibes starting to line up with past Panthers playoff runs…including 2015.

From there, it’s on to ACC basketball at the midway point of the season. With UNC and Duke, the identities are clear and both teams are actively problem-solving their issues. NC State, on the other hand, is still a mystery — and Will Wade is doing his best to maximize the roster he assembled, which helps explain his viral New Year’s Eve outburst following the win over Wake Forest.
