In this episode of Sūrah An-Naḥl (verses 56–64), Shaykh Dr. Aḥsan Ḥanīf explains how the pagans wrongly dedicated parts of their wealth to idols and made false claims about Allah, while their shame over having daughters exposed the corruption in their values. Allah, who is perfect and above all flaws, reminds us that if He were to punish people instantly for their wrongdoing, no one would remain on earth, yet He grants everyone time out of His mercy. These verses show how Shayṭān made sins look appealing for earlier nations just as he does today, and they highlight that the Qur’an was revealed to the Prophet ﷺ to clarify people’s disagreements and to serve as clear guidance and mercy for those who believe.
