Tyrese Maxey received much-needed help from Jabari Walker in a sweat of a win for the Philadelphia 76ers, 106-102, over Ace Bailey and the Utah Jazz. Walker came off the bench to score 22 points for the second consecutive night -- a solid boost with so many regulars out. Maxey finished with a team-high 25 and six assists on the second night of the team's back-to-back. Utah’s Keyonte George had a game-high 30. Tyrese Maxey and the Philadelphia 76ers lose embarrassingly to Victor Wembanyama, Dylan Harper and the San Antonio Spurs, 131-91. The Sixers trailed by 25 at halftime and as many as 49 points in the third quarter to put the game out of reach in a dominant victory for the visiting Spurs. 76ers' rookie VJ Edgecombe left the game with lower back soreness and did not return for the second half after taking a scary fall. Maxey led Philadelphia with 21, while Harper and Devin Vassell paced San Antonio with 22 each. The Sixers face the Utah Jazz on Wednesday on the second night of a back-to-back. Despite a strong effort from VJ Edgecombe, the Philadelphia 76ers fell to Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics 114-98 on Sunday night to drop to 33-27 on the season, evening the season series between these teams at two games each.

Tyrese Maxey shot just 4-18 from the field in the first half, before turning it around a bit after intermission to finish with 33 points on 12-34 shooting. VJ Edgecombe added in 23 points, with Dominick Barlow chipping in with 14 points and eight rebounds.

The Celtics were led by a career night from Neemias Queta, who set a new career high with 27 points to go along with 17 rebounds and three blocked shots. Jaylen Brown added 27/8/8, and the Celtics finished with 19 offensive rebounds as a team.

The Philadelphia 76ers picked up a crucial win over the Miami Heat, giving them a 2.5 game cushion over the Heat in the race for the 6th playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Tyrese Maxey led the team with 28 points, including a 5-12 performance from 3-point range that gave Maxey the 76ers record for most made 3s in franchise history, surpassing Hall of Famer Allen Iverson. Joel Embiid added 26 points and 11 rebounds, making a huge corner 3 to ice the game. VJ Edgecombe added 19 for the Sixers, including seven crucial fourth quarter points to help the Sixers survive a furious Miami comeback.

Bam Adebayo (29) led the Heat, with Tyler Herro (25) and Jaime Jacquez Jr (19) chipping in with big performances off the bench.
