• The "Same Room" Illusion: Despite their legendary rivalry, William Shatner and Ricardo Montalbán never met on set. Their entire interaction was filmed via viewscreen, with their scenes shot months apart.

• The Fake Chest Controversy: Fans were convinced Ricardo Montalbán wore a prosthetic chest piece. He didn’t. At 61 years old, he was simply in incredible shape and did hundreds of push-ups a day to maintain his "Genetically Superior" physique.

• The Title Swap: The movie was originally going to be called The Revenge of Khan, but the title was changed to The Wrath of Khan because Lucasfilm was working on a movie called Revenge of the Jedi (which eventually became Return of the Jedi).

• Saavik’s Heritage: In the original script and deleted scenes, it is revealed that Saavik is half-Vulcan and half-Romulan. This explains why she is more emotional and "tears up" during Spock’s funeral.
