Acerca de esta escucha
Operation Wrath of God was a covert retaliation campaign carried out by the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad in the 1970s. The operation was a response to the massacre of Israeli athletes by Palestinian terrorists during the 1972 Munich Olympics.
Under the direction of then-Prime Minister Golda Meir and led by Mossad director Zvi Zamir, Operation Wrath of God aimed to track down and eliminate individuals involved in the planning and execution of the Munich massacre. Mossad agents, often operating undercover in various countries, hunted down members of the Palestinian terrorist group Black September, believed to be responsible for the attack.
The operation resulted in a series of targeted assassinations of individuals suspected of involvement in the Munich massacre, as well as other terrorist activities against Israeli targets. Mossad agents employed various tactics, including surveillance, intelligence gathering, and covert operations, to track down and eliminate their targets.
Operation Wrath of God remains a controversial and secretive chapter in Israeli intelligence history, with the full extent of its operations and impact still largely shrouded in secrecy. However, it is widely regarded as a demonstration of Israel's determination to respond forcefully to acts of terrorism against its citizens, and a testament to the capabilities of its intelligence agencies.
