Blessed Are the Peacemakers | Matthew 5:9 and Hebrews 5:11-6:3

    Series: Vision 2026

    Pastor: Pastor Patrick Dailey

    Sunday Morning

    Date: 4th January 2026

    Passages:

    • Matthew 5:9
    • Hebrews 5:11-6:3

    -------------------

Welcome to Ontario Community Church's Sermon Podcast.

Pastor Patrick Dailey preaches on Matthew 5:9 and Hebrews 5:14-6:3 titled: "Blessed Are the Peacemakers"; our theme for 2026.

We'll explore how Christ's call to peacemaking shapes our identity as children of God. Peacemaking flows from who we are in Christ, not from avoiding conflict. True spiritual maturity develops through practice; through training ourselves to discern good and evil, seeking the higher things of God rather than remaining in elementary teachings.

    Key themes:

    • Jesus pronounces blessing on peacemakers, not peacekeepers
    • Spiritual maturity requires discernment trained by practice
    • We are called to move beyond elementary teachings to maturity

As we begin 2026, we're challenged to grow into mature believers who actively step forward as peacemakers, trusting Christ to walk with us one step at a time.

May Christ, our peace, shape you into a peacemaker who reflects the Father's heart.

  • Building Bridges to Peace | Ephesians 2:13-22

Building Bridges to Peace | Ephesians 2:13-22

    Series: Stand Alone Sermon

    Pastor: Pastor Patrick Dailey

    Sunday Morning

    Date: 28th December 2025

    Passage: Ephesians 2:13-22

    -------------------

Welcome to Ontario Community Church's Sermon Podcast.

Pastor Patrick Dailey preaches on Ephesians 2:13-22: Building Bridges to Peace.

What the passages reveal: • Christ is our peace, breaking down walls and creating one new humanity • We are God's household with Christ as the cornerstone • We are entrusted with the ministry of reconciliation as peacemakers

We'll explore how Christ as our peace shapes our identity and mission. Peace begins with Christ, not with us. God is forming a people, not just saving individuals. And those reconciled to God are called to be peacemakers in the new year.

As we stand on the bridge between 2025 and 2026, we remember God's faithfulness and step forward with intention. We raise our Ebenezer, "thus far the LORD has helped us" and commit to building bridges of peace.

May the God of peace fill you with joy and hope as you step into 2026 committed to building bridges because Jesus first built the bridge to you.

  • The Love of Emmanuel | Isaiah 7:10-16
    Dec 21 2025

The Love of Emmanuel | Isaiah 7:10-16

    Series: Advent 2025

    Pastor: Pastor Patrick Dailey

    Sunday Morning

    Date: 21st December 2025

    Passage: Isaiah 7:10-16

    -------------------

Welcome to Ontario Community Church's Sermon Podcast.

Pastor Patrick Dailey preaches on Isaiah 7:10-16, Psalm 80:1-7, 17-19, Romans 1:1-7, and Matthew 1:18-25 titled: The Love of Emmanuel.

    What the passages reveal:

    • Isaiah tells King Ahaz that a virgin will conceive and bear a son named Immanuel—God with us
    • This is referenced in Matthew's Gospel as a fulfillment of prophecy when an angel appears to Joseph
    • Jesus, the Word, becomes flesh and dwells among us
    • The psalm cries out for God to restore His people and make His face shine upon them
    • Paul describes the gospel of God's Son, descended from David, declared Son of God

We'll explore how this vision of God's love coming near shapes our understanding of what true love is. In Advent, love is not just a feeling we get at Christmas time; it's recognizing our God drawing near to us with His presence. God came into our dark and broken world to show us a better way. He loves us, dwells with us, and gives us the opportunity to respond.

Joy Breaks Through the Wilderness | Isaiah 35:1-10

    Series: Advent 2025

    Pastor: Pastor Patrick Dailey

    Sunday Morning

    Date: 14th December 2025

    Passage: Isaiah 35:1-10

    -------------------

Welcome to Ontario Community Church's Sermon Podcast.

In this sermon recording, Pastor Patrick Dailey preaches on Isaiah 35:1-10 titled: Joy Breaks Through the Wilderness. (Advent 3 - Joy)

    What the passage reveals:

    • The wilderness and dry land will be glad; the desert will blossom abundantly
    • They will see the glory of the LORD, the majesty of our God
    • Strengthen the weak hands, make firm the feeble knees
    • The eyes of the blind shall be opened, the ears of the deaf unstopped
    • The lame will leap like a deer, the mute will sing for joy
    • Waters will break forth in the wilderness, streams in the desert
    • A highway of holiness will lead God's people home
    • The ransomed of the LORD will return with everlasting joy upon their heads

We'll explore how true joy comes when we see God's promises fulfilled, patiently endure like farmers waiting for harvest, and recognize that Jesus is the One we've been waiting for. Even John the Baptist had his doubts—yet Jesus pointed to the very miracles Isaiah prophesied.

Peace That Flows: From Chaos to New Creation | Revelation 22:1-5

    Series: Advent 2025

    Pastor: Pastor Patrick Dailey

    Sunday Morning

    Date: 7th December 2025

    Passage: Revelation 22:1-5

    -------------------

Welcome to Ontario Community Church's Sermon Podcast.

Today, Pastor Patrick Dailey preaches on Revelation 22:1-5 titled: Peace That Flows: From Chaos to New Creation.

    What the passage reveals:

    • John sees a river of the water of life, sparkling like crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb
    • The river flows down the middle of the city
    • The tree of life stands on both sides, bearing twelve kinds of fruit every month
    • The leaves of the tree are for healing the nations
    • No more curse—the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city
    • His servants will serve Him and see His face
    • No more night—the Lord God will give them light

We'll explore how this vision of peace flowing from God's throne shapes our understanding of what true peace is. The biblical story begins with chaos over the waters, but ends with a river of life flowing from the Lamb. Between those two waters stands Jesus, the Prince of Peace, calming storms, healing wounds, and preparing a world without fear.

    Connected readings: Isaiah 11:1-10; Romans 15:4-13; Matthew 3:1-12; Genesis 1:1-2; Mark 4:35-41

All Things New: Awakening to a Hope That Restores | Revelation 21:1-5

    Series: Advent 2025

    Pastor: Pastor Patrick Dailey

    Sunday Morning

    Date: 30th November 2025

    Passage: Revelation 21:1-5

    -------------------

Welcome to Ontario Community Church's Sermon Podcast.

Today, Pastor Patrick Dailey preaches on Revelation 21:1-5 titled "All Things New: Awakening to a Hope That Restores". As we begin Advent, we explore John's vision of a new heaven and new earth where God declares, "I am making everything new!"

This message examines three key themes: (1) Hope begins with God making all things new—restoration is God's character; (2) Hope awakens us to live differently today—from darkness to light, from spiritual slumber to watchful readiness; and (3) Hope transforms us from the inside out—from swords to plowshares, from fear to love.

We'll discover that Advent hope isn't passive wishful thinking but active participation in God's renewal work.

Connected readings include Isaiah 2:1-5; Psalm 122; Romans 13:11-14; Matthew 24:36-44; Isaiah 65:17-19; and Titus 2:11-14. May we wake up, walk in the light, and live as citizens of the New Creation.

    Pastor: Pastor Patrick Dailey

    Sunday Morning

    Date: 23rd November 2025

    Passage: Revelation 3:7-13

    -------------------

Welcome to Ontario Community Church's Sermon Podcast.

Today, Pastor Patrick Dailey preaches on Revelation 3:7-13 titled: Faithful in Weakness, Crowned in Glory.

Jesus commends the church at Philadelphia for their faithfulness despite having little power. Though weak, they kept His word and did not deny His name.

Christ, who holds the key of David, promises them an open door no one can shut, vindication before their enemies, protection from the hour of trial, and a place as pillars in God's temple with His name written upon them.

We'll explore what it means that Christ controls all access, how He provides a way when we are weak, and the eternal rewards promised to those who endure faithfully.

May we trust in Christ's strength and hold fast to the hope of being crowned in glory.
