Followers. Subscribers. Views. It feels like a never-ending popularity contest — and let’s be honest, sometimes people even pay to boost numbers that aren’t even real. What have we signed up for?

We get stuck in the noise, measuring ourselves against metrics that don’t actually tell the full story. Some days it feels like no one’s watching. But here’s what I’ve learned: people are watching — even when they don’t hit like, comment, or subscribe. I’ve had people I don't know come up to me at events and say, “I know you. I follow your work.”

Here’s the reminder: authenticity will always outlast algorithms. Don't be fake just to fit in. Don't go silent because you feel unseen. Keep showing up as you.
