What a weekend in Oil Country! On today's Oilersnation Everyday, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin recap a wild few days that saw the Edmonton Oilers completely change the momentum of their first-round series against the LA Kings. After starting the weekend down 2-0, the Oilers now head into Monday with the series tied 2-2.

It all started Friday night when the Oilers dominated the Kings with a 7-4 victory at Rogers Place. Calvin Pickard made his first career playoff start and was huge in the third period to lock down the win and breathe life into the series.

Then came Sunday night — a game that will be talked about for a long time in Edmonton. The Oilers mounted a stunning third-period comeback, erasing a two-goal deficit to force overtime. Other teams in this year’s playoffs were 25-0 when leading by multiple goals, but not against this Oilers squad. Evan Bouchard was once again the hero with two massive goals to tie it up, before Leon Draisaitl capped off an incredible night with a powerplay overtime winner from his office.

Game 2 is in the books, and it’s one the Oilers would like to forget.
