We are Black women!!! We LOVE being Black women. Because Black women are ambitious. Black women are confident. Black women are diligent. We are tenacious! We walk out of hour houses “PUT TOGETHER”. We are many shades and personalities of FABULOUS! Black Women Love to Talk!!! But…we, as Black women, aren't often provided the space to talk about our dilemmas, current events, and what affects us. Join us as we talk through everything from current events and memes, to news and our personal lives. We may even throw in a story or two about our friends (with their permission of course.) Although our focus is Black Women, We invite everyone (regardless of gender or ethnicity)to join the conversation. We created this podcast as a way to laugh together…cry together…and have an open conversation about life as a Black woman.Copyright 2025 Ciencias Sociales

In our opening chatter we talk about what's been happening since we last recorded. What’s on Our Timeline? This week's timeline is courtesy of Morgan Sandiego on TikTok. And it features a woman that says if you are not already in a committed relationship with good communication, respect and boundaries before you start nursing school don’t do it! Let’s Talk Through It One of our male friends is working to better himself on his job but it requires studying and a test. Well it seems as if his girlfriend is sabotaging his dreams by doing things to keep him from studying for the test that could change his career and life. One of our Birmingham friends has been dating her man for 5 years. She was ready to break it off when he started talking about marriage. Recently she started to focus on her dream of passing the bar and being an in-house counsel for a company and he started to complain that she was too focused on her dream and not enough on their relationship. Be sure to listen to hear what we learned this week and be motivated for the week to come. Until we meet again. Pray! Work! Slay! And Show Off Your Melanated Excellence!

In our opening chatter we talk about how our week has been. What’s on Our Timeline? This one actually comes from Ebony K. Williams via her black marriage movement. Let’s Talk Through It Our first friend says he really loves and admires his girlfriend. But his issue is that she makes so much more money than he does and he’s not sure how to step up and be the man in the relationship. Our other friend really just wants advice. She has been married to a very nice man for 10 years. They don't have any children and he’s kind and caring. The problem is she is forced to be head of the household. Her philosophy is, If you're going to be the man, then you need to have a plan and lead according to that plan. Until we meet again. Pray! Work! Slay! And Show Off Your Melanated Excellence!

I love this podcast! The hosts routinely present perspectives I hadn't considered and they do so with style, humor and class. It's wonderful to listen to a podcast that represents my views and opinions (while keeping me up to date on pop culture lol).
