OUT OF TIME: Cats desperation turned to frustration as sloppy second allowed the Devils to propel

On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) and Jacob Winans(@JakeW_8) broke down the Panthers 5-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils. The Panthers had an opportunity to take control of the game in the second period after New Jersey lost their composure in the first period, but a sloppy play that ended up in a short handed breakaway opportunity where the Cats negated their own power play by committing a penalty of their own. New Jersey would score a four-on-four goal after that and the Panthers could not gain any momentum after that, trying line changes to the forwards and even switching up the bottom two defensive pairs. Paul Maurice let his frustration known during the first period during an interview where both teams were careless with the puck, but New Jersey was the team who was able to clean it up while Florida failed to do so, as the first saw a lot of two-on-one opportunities where Sergei Bobrovsky was not the issue for the Panthers. Being down by two in the third, it was the Devils who still controlled play as they were connecting out of their own end and the Panthers were unable to get their forecheck and cycle game going.
