But today, I’m asking the question, Can we be happy (defined in my mind as joyfully content) standing on the phrase “in Gods Timing.” Said differently, when we become frustrated…waiting for prayers to be answered or maybe confirmation from God that we ARE on the right track…even though we see little progress…and become more discontent with “Gods Timing,” WHAT are we to do with that? WHY does it seem sometimes as though God’s POWER is absent in our lives?

Is it possible to find happiness, peace, contentment, joy and fulfillment in Gods Timing? This “in Gods Timing” phrase is a tricky subject.

Why is it we tend to be the happiest only in the successes, the promotions, the raises and accomplishments…when we’ve reached the summit, if you will…but struggle to stay fully content and even exuberant in the valleys.

Do we really need a miracle everyday to stay euphorically high (that state of intense excitement and happiness), content, engaged and motivated?

Why is it often difficult to remain euphoric between the high points in our lives? When life is on auto pilot if you will, or on cruise control, boring and mundane?

I ask this question too many times in my own life…and often voice my frustration to God, not “WITH GOD” but certainly “TO GOD.” “I’m doing my part…I’m executing my calling the best I know how…so why are you opting not to increase it…to demonstrate that you are indeed behind this initiative…confirm that I’m on the right path…doing the right thing”?

Personally, I think it’s okay to have these direct and blunt discussions with God. Especially, when our objective is NOT to blame God or simply complain without cause…but when we are sincerely asking for clarity, confirmation and engagement. When we are seriously seeking direction, feedback and input, I think God is okay (maybe the better word would be tolerant) with us in our quest for direction.

I thought it might be fun listen to a saga tale riddled with intrigue, conflict, struggle, as well as, insight, wisdom and epic life lessons, the epic tale of Captain Hook vs Peter Pan.

Released in 1991, Hook is an American fantasy adventure firm, directed by Stephen Spielberg. It stars Robin Williams as Peter Pan, Dustin Hoffman as Captain Hook, Julia Roberts as Tinker Bell, and Maggie Smith as Granny Wendy.

The movie opens with a visual of an adult Peter Pan (Peter Banning), who has forgotten his childhood due to his high-powered career as a corporate takeover lawyer. As an adult, Banning is a stressed out, over worked, miserable shell of a man that is trapped in the endless pursuit of something…that cannot be secured while enslaved to the trappings of his career.

But when his old archenemy, Captain Hook, kidnaps his children, Banning must return to Neverland to save them.

Tinker Bell appears to Banning, reminds him of who he was, sprinkles him with Pixie Dust and carries him away to Neverland, a mystical island accessible by flying past the "second star to the right, and straight on till morning".

When he awakes from the journey, he finds himself completely out of place, still dressed in his tux from the night before, surrounded by pirates. His daughter Maggie is suspended in a cage from the main mass, as Captain Hook boasts that he has captured Peter Pans kids.

Banning screams out…”those are my kids!” Hook can’t believe his eyes. “You’re not Peter Pan!” But Tinker Bell confronts Hook and negotiates a three day reprieve to get Banning (Peter Pan) back into shape and prepared for the final battle between Hook and Pan.

She takes him to the hideout of the Lost Boys and explains to the Lost Boys that this really is the PAN…that they need to rally and get him in shape for the battle in three days!

The Lost Boys will have to “see” that their former leader PAN is somewhere inside this “grumpy old grampa man.” They’ll need to teach him again how to “crow” and how to “fly.” They’ll need to help him “imagine” the possibilities first, and help him find his “Happy Thoughts.”

Without his “happy thoughts” Pan will never be able to “fly” and without “flight” he’ll never prevail over Hook.

So what do we glean from this story?

In the midst of doing life, things happen. Disasters come. Trials manifest out of thin air often during our most vulnerable times…when our plate is already full, when we are already jugging more than we can handle and when we least expect it.

This describes Banning’s situation to a tee.

These challenges, whatever they may be, affect everyone around you…your souse, your kids, your co-workers, and friends. Nonetheless…we have no choice but to accept the situation, adjust accordingly and engage.

There will be characters in the midst of the drama that are FOR you…they know WHO YOU ARE…and they know WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF (like Granny Wendy, Tinker Bell and eventually the Lost Boys). They BELIEVE in you…even when you don’t believe in yourself.

Pans strength didn’t come from losing weight in three days or from his muscles or physical abilities. It was his mental strength…his renewed perspective of WHO HE WAS long ago and WHAT COULD BE AGIAN…SIMPLY BY CHANGING HIS ATTITUDE…to BELIEVE IN HAPPINESS and then PURSUE TO THE END…that made PETER PAN…PAN THE MAN!

Who was Granny Wendy? Could Granny Wendy have represented God the creator, who cared for all the orphans? Who encouraged them day and night?

And who was Peter Pan? Was he “lost” as the leader of the Lost Boys many years prior to growing up, or did he loose his way in his adult years?

Hopefully you are at least aware on news stories questioning Joe Biden’s use of the AutoPen which is an auto signature, meaning anyone with access to this app, could sign for Joe on Executive Orders, Legislation, Pardons or on any correspondence, both physical or digital.

The reporting of this app raised a host of legitimate questions.

Initially the questions were simply inquisitive in nature but built up to be more invasive as to who was authorized to use this app on Joe’s behalf?

Should we know who this person was or group of people were? Does this auto signature require verification from a notary to ensure there’s no monkey business going on? Was his health and handwriting so bad that he simply couldn't sign these documents himself or was there a more sinister plan in motion?

Chris Salcedo, host of the Chris Salcedo Show on NEWSMAX interviewed a gentlemen the other day that has the street cred, if you will, to shed some light on this topic…and did just that on National TV to over 20 million viewers of the NEWSMAX family.

His name is Mike McCormick, who has served as the White House Stenographer for THREE PRESIDENTS. So one would think Mr. McCormick might have the credentials and first-hand insight into who might have had access to the controls behind the curtain in the Land of Oz.

Real names assigned to a cast of characters in this tragic tale that may have, collaboratively or individually, played a significant role in a Cabal to mislead the American people.

Wikipedia defines a cabal as "a group of people who are united in some close design, usually to promote their private views or interests in an ideology, a state, or another community, often by intrigue and usually without the knowledge of those who are outside their group."

McCormick makes the bold accusation that RON KLAIN was the master ORCHESTRATOR behind the "PLAN-DEMIC" starting back in 2011. According to McCormick, KLAIN learned how to politicize pandemics in 2014 and launched this plan in 2019, unleashing a global pandemic on the world just to get Joe into the White House.

Now that’s a bonafide conspiracy theory on steroids…that if even partially accurate…would serve as the cherry on top of this Great American CON the left have been serving up over the past 8 plus years.

Consider for a moment the thought process behind the curtain. They’ve researched how to deploy a pandemic and then they wait. When Trump takes office in his first term the fuse is lit. They have predicted what Trump might do and seize the opportunity to pin the Pandemic on Trump, by enlisting Dr. Science Fauci to fan the fuse affecting markets around the global and the behavior and fears of billions…all with one goal in mind…pin the pandemic on Trump and open up a pathway for Joe to campaign from his basement…and eventually…seat Biden (and his cabal) as the 46th administration.

Once in, we'll hide Biden’s frailties, and as his mental state deteriorates, we can deploy the AutoPen with easy. No one will pick on an elderly man and the media will run cover as we manage the levers behind the curtain.

If that scenario of imagination isn't scary enough consider this. They INTENDED TO RUN JOE FOR A SECOND TERM! They had hoped that they could cover it up until he was safely secured in his second term…then they would leak out the prognosis of Joes cancer and simply slip Kamala into the office. The Cabal would run the show for Kamala…without a fight.

You decide. Is this just a conspiracy theory or will evidence come forth that proves it true…and if the later…what should be the punishment for those that hatched such a diabolical plan?

This week Zelensky launched a drone attack on Putins Helicopter, which lead Putin to reduce a city in Ukraine to the ground.

He could have armed that ballistic missle with a nuclear warhead and that would have been the end of Zelensky…and the EU is urging Zelensky to fight on! It’s important that Trump and Putin engage again…they are the only adults in the room.

We need to pray that the EU wakes up to the peril they are ushering in…AND that Trump doesn’t walk away from this Biden created nightmare…and finds a way to REENGAGE with Putin.

Today, as a follow-on to Fridays discussion, I want to highlight a REAL and LIVING example of a confident, courageous leader, that everyone on the plant recognizes.

You’ll recall we were exploring a few questions, we all face in life as we pursue our dreams. Are we legit? Are we competent, are we authentic, are we effective in what we pursue, are we confident in ourselves to deliver and lastly, is God with us in our pursuits.

So before I introduce this individual, I want to establish that this person, is legit…they have a record of accomplishment, a string of setbacks and an enormous amount of courage, tenacity, stamina and commitment.

This person has been both admired and respected by people on the left and right.

Let me introduce you to Donald J Trump. A living and real man of action, a clear and present example of a confident man, full of courage that any rational person would have to admire…for his dedication, strength under fire, his unwavering pursuit of justice and common sense with a vision for all people of every color, class or status.

His willingness to enter the arena is reason enough to respect and admire his willingness to step up and engage. I’ll prove that statement right now. If you had Trumps money, his businesses, his freedom to do whatever he wanted, would you put your life on pause to “volunteer” to serve the nation knowing you would be persecuted at every turn. Be honest….ill bet the answer was no.

Sometimes people fear things they don’t understand. They may feel threatened. ”I’m just not sure about this guy, I don’t know his intentions, and so I don’t trust him. Period.” That’s the extent of their research.

Others feared his influence and worried that his success might rob them of power over the people or at the very least, might expose their incompetence to think outside of the box in governing this country.

They hounded him while in office and pursed him with a vengeance for four years even after he left office…knowing that he may return…and they couldn’t have that.

And return he did. Most would not have. Most would have crumbled under the weight and constant abuse sent his way.

That is in a word, remarkable! Before Trump maybe even “unimaginable.” Who could bear it? Who would want it?

What attributes of honorable qualities or character, examples if you will in the Bible, would God desire and honor.

With an eye on comparing both rhetoric and actions taken (or not taken), helped me see the cost Trump paid, the art of his style, his reasoning behind many of the things he said…simply to get a reaction. Many of them were “fire for effect” targeting…to expose the enemy…to cause them to emerge from the darkness and into the light of day…so that all of us could finally see the corruption and hypocrisy.

What is the most important skillset a leader must have to lead? Go ahead…I’ll wait.

Did you say vision? Passion? A horse maybe? I think the most important skillset is the ability to communicate. If you have a vision but can’t communicate it you have nothing. No one will follow you. Likewise if you have an awesome white stead, 14 hands high, but cannot communicate where you’re going and encourage folks to join you, you’ll be riding off into the sunset alone.

Here’s the point. Trump is communicating to anyone and everyone that will listen…and those abroad ARE LISTENING AND REACTING.

Talk about courageous, bold, confident, visionary, motivated, passionate, unwavering, opportunistic and welcoming to even our enemies. A bold foreign policy on full display…not only for today’s leaders and nations but for our youth to ponder, consider, admire and emulate.

Mark and I both attend the same church and the past few weeks we’ve been lead in a series on Courage, that we thought was worth sharing.

According to many pundits, educators and corporate titans there is a serious Crisis of Courage in our younger generation. Apparently, there is a lack of creativity, inspiration or motivation to stand out and excel in the workplace. Which led me to ask the question - WHY?

It would be easy to blame our education system, both high schools and higher learning institutions like the universities, but that wouldn’t cover the Tradecraft industry, which is also short of wannabe apprentices.

So I dug deeper in search of the root question, or group of questions that might give us insight into how to help the next generation course correct.

1. Is it because they haven’t been given an example to follow ?
2. Is it because they haven’t found a hill worth conquering ?
3. Do they lack a vision or dream worthy of pursuing?
4. Do they lack the motivation or passion to even start? Or maybe…
5. The experience or knowledge to execute?

This introduces a deeper set of questions, which tees up the key message our pastor was sharing. In my opinion, ALL are birthed by lack of CONFIDENCE.

So the pastor tees up the message with these questions.

Am I legit?

Am I Competent?

Am I Authentic?

Am I Effective?

Is God with me or is this just me?

In an attempt to answer these questions, let’s refer to what the Bible says. The phrase “Do not fear” appears more than 365 times in the Bible. That’s a lot! And for that phrase to appear that often, implies that there must be a lack of faith or a lack of CONFIDENCE with those the message was given to.

Joshua 1:1-9: Moses is dead, that season is OVER. Time to MOVE on and out.

Step up…it’s your turn…accept the responsibility and lead.

God tells him this TWICE before we get to verse 9.

Joshua must have struggled with courage. He lived most of his early life in the shadow of Moses. Five steps to Joshua’s battle

1. Am I legit? He wasn’t Moses, he was his “assistant”.
2. Am I competent? He was promoted from supporter to leader.
3. How can I be authentic? He was the Stewart of the Promise…not the author.
4. How can I be effective? He was called to be faithful and the new leader.
5. Is God with me in this or is this “urging” or “calling” just me? Well God spoke directly to Joshua on this one. Walk in faithful presence.

Often we are confronted with doubts, questions or distracting voices and people that simply want to attack or steal our courage and faith, or download their beliefs, agendas or failures onto the next generation as a last ditch effort to “be significant.” Think higher education, anti-whatever-syndrom, protests, etc.

Here’s the Pastors Conclusion as to How to prepare to live a life of action:

1. Fuel up for the Journey / What will you need? (A car, gas for the car, a direction, a map, a time line to establish expectations, contingency plans)
2. Commit to showing up. Wrestle long and hard about your idea or calling. Define why it’s a calling and not a bad idea.
3. Do big things in small steps. You’ve heard the saying, How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Define your strategy. Be realistic and be adaptable.
4. Be patient and consistent (practice everyday)
5. Don’t quit in the dip when it gets hard or you get discouraged. Anything and everything WORTH PURSUING WILL BE CHALLENGING

And don’t forget the last seven words of CONFIDENCE given to you in Joshua 1 verse 9: “GOD IS WITH YOU, WHEREVER YOU GO”
