  • Writing Emails That Your Audience Can't Wait to Read with Bobby Klinck
    May 4 2022

Welcome back to another episode of the Not So Wimpy Entrepreneur Podcast!

You’re sending emails to your audience, right?

Sending weekly emails is a must, so if you’re not doing it yet, this episode is definitely for you. I’m joined by email-marketing expert Bobby Klinck, and we’re talking all about the emails that you’re writing and sending to your audience.

The time you spend writing to your email list is more valuable than the time you spend creating Reels or TikToks or Facebook posts because your emails are going straight to your readers’ inboxes. If you’re not taking advantage of email, you’re missing an opportunity to build connections and relationships with your people.

In this episode, Bobby is walking you through how to write emails that people actually want to read, the basic structure of a good email, why you should rethink the purpose of your emails, and so much more.

Bobby Klinck is a Harvard lawyer turned online entrepreneur. He helps serve-first online entrepreneurs build lasting businesses that they love so that they can support their families and truly serve their audiences.

    Episode 93 Takeaways:

+ Email is the most valuable way to reach your audience.

+ Write emails that people actually want to read.

+ You should sound like a person, not a company.

+ Don't write your emails just to check a box.

+ Email builds a connection between you and your audience.

+ Your audience wants to get to know you.

+ People don’t connect with writing that is overly technical or formal.

    + Lean into your personality.

+ Subject lines aren’t as important as you think.

+ Don’t trick people into opening your emails.

+ Make note of stories as they happen or as you think of them.

Don’t wait until you have the perfect email sequence to get started. The sooner you get started, the sooner you’ll start improving. If you’ve been wondering where to start, you’re in the right place.

  • 5 Important Lessons I’ve Learned From My Coach
    Mar 30 2022

Welcome back to another episode of the Not So Wimpy Entrepreneur Podcast!

Have you ever worked with a mindset coach?

Getting a mindset coach was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I make every single one of our meetings a priority in my schedule. My coach, Neill Williams, has helped me with everything from managing my time to changing my mindset around things like goals and money.

In this episode, I’m sharing 5 of the most important lessons that I’ve learned from her. Each one of these lessons has had an invaluable impact on my life and business.

Whether you have a coach of your own or you’ve never even heard of mindset coaches, this episode has something for you.

    Episode 92 Takeaways:

    + Mindset coaches are invaluable.

+ Make sure you’re problem-solving before the problem pops up.

+ You should be making decisions ahead of time.

+ Plan for results, not just what you’re going to be working on.

    + Schedule thinking time.

+ Money is just a data point.

+ More money allows you to have a bigger impact.

+ Goals aren’t about meeting a number, they're about what you learn along the way.

    + If you don’t meet a goal, it doesn't mean you’ve failed.

I could talk forever about things I’ve learned from my coach, but the 5 lessons in this episode are some of the most valuable. I hope something from this episode resonates with you and helps you to go out and have a bigger impact.

  • How to Have a Planning Retreat for Your Business
    Mar 23 2022
Welcome back to another episode of the Not So Wimpy Entrepreneur Podcast!

Do you have yearly planning retreats? In this episode, I’m telling you why I think you should.

My team and I have a planning retreat every year that I find so valuable, so I wanted to tell you what our retreats look like and help you decide whether a planning retreat would be a good idea for you.

I'm sharing everything you need to know about why we have planning retreats and what we cover at them. In this episode, you’ll learn when and where to have a retreat, how to prepare, and how to make sure the things that you plan at the retreat get implemented afterward.

Whether you’ve had a planning retreat before or this is your first time hearing about them, this episode will help you figure out how to plan one for your business.

    Episode 91 Takeaways:

+ Work your business around your personal life, not your personal life around your business.

+ Decide how many hours you want to work and then fit in the most important things.

+ You don’t have to have a team to enjoy the benefits of a planning retreat.

+ There is value in celebrating and learning from the previous year.

+ You should be setting goals every year.

+ Have fun, bond, and socialize with your team.

+ It doesn't have to be January to have a planning retreat, you can have one now.

+ Make decisions based on numbers.

+ Don’t forget about your ideas after the retreat.

This episode will help you plan your retreat from beginning to end. Even if you don’t have a team, I've included ideas to help you plan a solo retreat. I think you should give it a try.

Find me on Instagram and let me know if you’ve ever hosted or attended a planning retreat before! If not, are you going to give it a shot?
