  • Does God Care About Your Body? A Christian Perspective on Health & Fitness
    Feb 10 2026
What does the Bible say about health and fitness? In the third episode of our Not Just Sacred series, we take a Christian look at the body, the soul, and how they’re meant to work together. We explore whether fitness matters to God, how Scripture warns against being ruled by food or consumption, and why aging is something the Bible honors rather than resists. From questions about appearance and motivation to modern conversations around tracking, diets, Botox, and GLP-1s, this episode offers biblical principles for navigating health wisely without turning it into an idol. We also announce the winning book for our Not Just Sacred book club! 📚 Want to be in our book club? Our winning book, Trust, was announced on today's episode! A bonus episode discussing the book is coming on Friday, March 20. You can grab the book here. 🔔 Subscribe now so you won't miss an episode of this series! • Not Just Sacred: Engaging the World, Glorifying God
    Jan 27 2026
Does following Jesus mean retreating from everyday life or learning how to fully engage it? In the kickoff episode of our new series Not Just Sacred, we explore the biblical vision of a faith that encompasses ALL of life. From work and money to reading, sports, and ordinary pleasures, this episode reframes the false divide between the sacred and the secular. As we trace the Bible’s story, from creation to new creation, we discover that God is not abandoning the world, but redeeming it. Our hope is that this series helps you learn to glorify God not by withdrawing, but by faithfully engaging the world he called “good.” 🗳️ VOTE on which book we'll read together during this series here. 🔔 Subscribe now so you won't miss an episode of this new series! Having raised my kids in the same era as this young woman, I remember the pressure on parents to keep your children from the world.
I was scared all the time. At 66, I relate to everything Ms. Billups said. I seemed like a frothing Democrat when I cheered and played Ray Charles' Georgia and Hit The Road Jack on Facebook the day after the election. I also share the POV that being pro life encompasses more than abortion; and I marched for George Floyd. as rich as this nation is, we should have good schools, healthcare, safe neighborhoods, and better elder care. The Catholics are better at this than the Protestants, just saying. I'm appalled at the militant pro-gun propagandists and the lack of concern for the earth.
I don't view these opinions as being a lefty at all. I view myself as a grateful steward and proponent of safety for everyone. I liked her very much.
