    Dec 2 2025
We all want to be happy. But most of us chase the wrong things to get there. Studies repeatedly show that money and success won’t bring lasting joy. The Bible said it first: real happiness is found in relationships. Because Christianity is a community project and nobody becomes a saint by themselves. 🔔 Subscribe now and be sure to join us for our upcoming series in 2026 where we'll tackle your questions and dive deeper into the basics of the Gospels. 🤔 Have a question you want to submit for our next series on the Gospels? • Deny Yourself: The Surprising Path to True Happiness
    Nov 18 2025
The world says, “Follow your heart.” But Jesus says, “Deny yourself.” In this episode, we're sharing the next step to sainthood: self denial. Listen as Keith and Patrick challenge the modern idea that happiness comes from chasing your desires, citing where Jesus taught the opposite: real joy comes from denying yourself and following him. The two explore why self-denial isn’t restrictive; it's freeing. You’ll learn how self-focus (whether through pride or shame) keeps you trapped, how secular studies have also proven that self-denial leads to greater happiness, and how to practice the discipline of surrender in everyday life. We hope this episode leaves you asking: Am I self-serving or serving God? 🔔 Subscribe now and join us for the next episode as we continue exploring how we can build a lasting, full-time faith. 📫 Want Sunday's best for your Monday morning inbox? Having raised my kids in the same era as this young woman, I remember the pressure on parents to keep your children from the world.
I was scared all the time. At 66, I relate to everything Ms. Billups said. I seemed like a frothing Democrat when I cheered and played Ray Charles' Georgia and Hit The Road Jack on Facebook the day after the election. I also share the POV that being pro life encompasses more than abortion; and I marched for George Floyd. as rich as this nation is, we should have good schools, healthcare, safe neighborhoods, and better elder care. The Catholics are better at this than the Protestants, just saying. I'm appalled at the militant pro-gun propagandists and the lack of concern for the earth.
I don't view these opinions as being a lefty at all. I view myself as a grateful steward and proponent of safety for everyone. I liked her very much.
