New York Islanders SHOCK the World and WIN the Draft Lottery | Playoffs Updates + NHL News

Hello guys. Welcome back to another episode of the Hockey Talk with TG Podcast. In this episode, we talked about the New York Islanders winning the draft lottery on Monday. Something that still shocks me and all of the hockey world as they JUMPED from the 10th spot to the No. 1 overall spot. This is the 1st time the Isles will select the No. 1 overall pick since 2009 when they drafted John Tavares. It will be interesting to see who they draft. Do they draft Matthew Schaefer, Michael Misa, or the hometown kid James Hagens? We'll just have to wait for the draft to find out.We also recapped the Stanley Cup Playoff games from Monday and Tuesday. The Maple Leafs held on for a 5-4 win over the Panthers on Monday in game 1 to take a 1-0 series, but will the defending champs strike back in game 2 to even up the series 1-1? We break it all down in this episode.

Also the Canes and Caps 2nd round series started Tuesday with Carolina winning 2-1 in OT and taking a 1-0 series lead. The Carolina Hurricanes weren't the only team to kick off their 2nd round series with a win on the road Tuesday as the Edmonton Oilers made history and rallied their 5th straight comeback in the playoffs in the 3rd period and win 4-2 against the Golden Knights and take a 1-0 series lead.
