Text "info" to 716-403-2999 We are in a series at New Story called “Family Lessons.” In this series we walk through 1 Corinthians 10, where Paul looks back on Israel’s story in the wilderness. As he reflects on the triumphs and failures of God’s people, we discover lessons meant to shape how we follow Jesus today—so we can learn from the past and avoid repeating the same mistakes.

  • How to read and study the Bible | Pastor Scott Lackey

At New Story Church, our nine-week Family Habits series invited our church family to intentionally practice the way of Jesus together. Each week we explored a different spiritual habit—community, sabbath, fasting, prayer, witnessing, generosity, Scripture reading, solitude, and service—seeing them not as religious obligations, but as rhythms that shape us into Christ’s likeness. We looked at how these practices were modeled by Jesus and how they form us over time through everyday faithfulness. More than information, this series was about transformation—learning to order our lives around habits that make space for God to work in us. Our hope is that these family habits become a shared way of life as we seek to imitate Jesus and embody His love in our homes, church, and city.
