Seven weeks after a clean mammogram in December of 2018, Fitz found a lump in her left breast and was quickly diagnosed with breast cancer. She was instantly tossed into 15 months of chemotherapy, 33 rounds of radiation and several surgeries. Despite being deathly ill, Fitz continued touring the country as a race announcer, making the best of a bad situation.
