  • Make Room | Selvin Cortez
    Oct 7 2025

The key lesson of the sermon “Make Room” is that growth begins with faith before it’s visible. God calls us to enlarge our vision, strengthen our foundation, and make room for what He’s about to do—not after we see it, but in anticipation of His promise. Just as Isaiah urged God’s people to stretch their tents before the blessing arrived, we too must prepare our hearts, minds, and church for expansion.

The takeaway is this: when we make room for God—through faith, obedience, and surrender—He fills that space with His presence, provision, and purpose. Every stretch, every act of faith, is an invitation for Christ to dwell more fully in us and through us.

  • The Gathering and The Gate | Selvin Cortez
    Sep 24 2025

Psalm 23 reveals a Shepherd who calls His people into a gathering and protects them as the gate. The Lord provides rest, renewal, and direction, and in community—through prayer, Scripture, and shared life—His care moves from concept to experience. In life’s valleys, fear is replaced by the Shepherd’s presence, whose rod and staff represent protection and loving correction often expressed through people who notice, pray, and draw us back. The Shepherd also sets a table of welcome and anoints with oil, assuring goodness and mercy until we dwell with Him forever. Jesus fulfills this psalm as the Good Shepherd and the Gate, laying down His life so we can enter His flock. Rows inspire, but circles transform, calling us to step into community and be known.

  • God’s will for my life | Selvin Cortez
    Sep 10 2025

This message explores God’s will for my life through the lens of serving others with eternity in view. We are reminded that salvation is by grace through faith, yet our acts of service carry eternal weight. First, serving impacts my eternal reward—every act of love and service is remembered by God and invests in eternal treasure (Hebrews 6:10; Matthew 25:21). Second, serving impacts the eternal destiny of others—our generosity and small acts of service can open doors for salvation, just as an usher once impacted Billy Graham’s eternity. Finally, serving impacts my alignment with God’s eternal will—when I offer myself as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1–2; Colossians 3:23–24), I step into God’s purpose rather than turn back too soon. True blessing is found in surrender: not “God’s will for my life,” but my life for God’s will!
