Picture Trent Dalton on a street corner with a little table and a powder blue Olivetti typewriter asking you to tell him a personal experience of love. It's not surprising people were so disarmed they opened up with extraordinary stories- all of which he duly recorded in this lovely collection. When there was no-one talking to him he observed their interactions and made up beautiful stories around everyday gestures.
