    Jan 22 2026

We've got another mega-series for you all (despite telling us to stop). Connor, Matt, Peter and Frank are all coming together to discuss four film adapations of Alexandre Dumas' classic adventure novel "The Three Musketeers". In this episode we'll be talking about the following versions:

"The Three Musketeers" (1973) dir. Richard Lester

"The Three Musketeers" (1993) dir. Stephen Herek

Join us as we cover the romances of Athos, Porthos and Aramis as they both swash and buckle their way through the evil Cardinal's clutches. We've got Tim Curry. We've got Christopher Lee. We've got a hungover Oliver Reed.

  • Silverado (1985)
    Dec 24 2025

It's Frank's turn to be visited by Santa (this time played by Connor), who's brought a little bit of the old dusty trail to our holiday celebration. Frank and Connor are joined by Matt while they discuss 1985's "Silverado!"

It's a a classic Western about four unlikely heroes—a calm gunfighter (Scott Glenn), a charming drifter (Kevin Kline), a sharpshooting Black cowboy (Danny Glover), and an energetic young gun (Kevin Costner)—who form a bond and team up to fight corruption and tyranny in the frontier town of Silverado, run by a greedy rancher, crooked sheriff, and somehow Jeff Goldblum as a gambling drifter with a wrist gun. It starts with a gunfight. It ends with a gunfight. There are a bunch of gunfights in between. It's a Holiday Classic!

  • The Jungle Book (1994)
    Dec 18 2025

Peter's opening the next holiday gift this season, unwrapping a lovely little 90s adventure film given to him by Frank. Join the two boys as they discuss Stephen Sommers' 1994 live action (and we mean live action) The Jungle Book.

That's right. It's Christmas in India!

The film is based on the Mowgli stories from The Jungle Book (1894) and The Second Jungle Book (1895) by Rudyard Kipling, but mostly focuses on the plotline of the second book.[5] Unlike the books and Walt Disney's 1967 animated adaptation, the animal characters in this film do not talk (a fact we apparently have mixed opinions about).

  • The Campfire Series: The Bunnyman (2011)
    Oct 17 2025

Welcome back to the fire campers. We had chills and spills last week with Lake Michigan Monster. This week we have... something else... entirely: 2011's The Bunnyman. We'll be honest. Don't watch Bunnyman. You'll miss nothing. It's a mean, incompetent, and worst of all... boring movie.

That said, there is a great tale behind the scenes that Connor tells us all about. Listen as the boys try to make sense of the nonsense, Frank crashes out, and Connor tells us all about why Northern Virginia is the center of the world.

  • The Campfire Series: Lake Michigan Monster (2018)
    Oct 10 2025

    Happy Halloween, dear listeners.

We've relit the fire just in time for Peter to join us for another year of the Campfire Series. This year's theme: movies about our hometown cryptids. Watch how quickly we go off-theme.

Our first entry is a Peter pick: 2018's Lake Michigan Monster, a comedy horror film written, produced and directed by Ryland Brickson Cole Tews. It stars Tews, Erick West, Beulah Peters, Daniel Long, and Wayne Tews, and centers on an eccentric alcoholic who assembles a team to track down and kill the titular monster to avenge the death of his father.
