  • NAWIC Couch | Episode Five - Chloe Hite
    Feb 27 2025

The NAWIC Diversity & Inclusion Portfolio exists to break down barriers, create opportunities and raise awareness for the least represented in our community – and for those who don’t always feel part of the ‘everybody’. As a part of platforming, listening to understand, and advocating for these voices we intent to share the stories, achievements, challenges and insights of those who don't typically put themselves in the spotlight - and should!Come and sit on the NAWIC couch with us as our host Rachael Sharp (she/her) chats with Chloe Hite (she/her), qualified electrician.Chloe wasn’t sure what she wanted to do when she finished school but after some encouragement from her mum and through word of mouth she took part in work experience and quickly realised that pursuing an apprenticeship as an electrician was the right decision for her. Chloe's experience in the industry has been mostly positive, she believes that there shouldn’t be a label on who can or can’t be in a trade, acknowledging that she herself may not look like a tradie out of high vis but the look of someone doesn’t portray the skills they have - and she is highly skilled at her job. Chloe wants to encourage young women and men to consider a career in trades and remind people who might not feel smart enough or good enough that if you are passionate and willing to put in the effort then you can do it!___________________________You can find out more about the incredible work NAWIC, and the Diversity & Inclusion Portfolio do by following us on our social media platforms and listening to 'The Leaky Pipeline Podcast'.Instagram | @nawicauFacebook | @NAWIC AUSWebsite | www.nawic.com.auEmail | communications@nawic.com.au__________________________We Advocate for Change,We Educate and Empower,We Connect,We are NAWIC.#werisetogether
