Come and sit on the NAWIC couch with us in this Launceston edition, as our host Rachael Sharp (she/her) chats with Logan Barnett (she/her) and Jasmyn Smith (she/her), both electricians and founders of the GO Company.
Logan and Jasmyn share their unique journeys into the trades, their passion for normalizing women’s presence in traditionally male-dominated spaces, and their drive to ensure future generations of women don’t face the same boundaries they did. They discuss how their company, GO Company, came into existence, the importance of their GO Packs in supporting women on-site, and their experience navigating a startup. The conversation also touches on the importance of persistence, the challenges of dealing with jealousy and judgment from others, and the systemic changes needed to create more inclusive environments for women in construction.
