  • Can I Talk My Sh*t? with Vagabon
    Jun 10 2025
Can we talk our sh*t? The supremely talented musician Vagabon joins Devon on the pod this week to reveal which songs she thinks “have drugs in them,” lay out her ideal music festival lineup, and get to the root of why musicians are ultimately cooler than comedians. Laetitia Tamko better known by her stage name Vagabon, is a Cameroonian-American self-taught multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter and music producer based in New York City. Following her intimate 2017 debut “Infinite Worlds,” the New York artist favored expansive and evocative electronic textures in her breakthrough 2019 self-titled follow-up. The story her latest LP, “Sorry I Haven’t Called,” started in grief after her best friend died in 2021.This devastating and unexpected loss unmoored Tamko, but also gave her a newfound clarity. Across the 12 vibrant tracks she wrote and produced primarily in Germany, she channels dance music euphoria and effervescent pop through her own confident sensibilities. “Sorry I Haven’t Called” is a warm and resilient album born of both communal dance floor revelations and the clarifying peace from solitude, an emotional rebirth as well as an artistic one. • Do the Helen Keller with Jaboukie
    May 28 2025
If you have one takeaway from this episode, it’s that it’s time to leave Drake alone. Our resident Caucasian bops expert Jaboukie joins Devon on the pod to pay Nicki Minaj her respects, recount the delusion of creating his own music, and to flag Lady Gaga’s latest album a recession indicator. Jaboukie Young-White is a writer, comic, actor, musician, and producer whose career has spanned across the entertainment industry since rising to viral Twitter fame. In 2017, he was featured on Rolling Stone's "25 Under 25: Meet the Young Musicians, Actors, Activists Changing the World" list. Since then, Jaboukie’s credits include Rap Sh!t, Someone Great, Big Mouth, American Vandal, Strange World, Set It Up, and The Daily Show. He released his first album in 2023. Heavily influenced by his upbringing as the eldest son of working class Jamaican immigrants, his music weaves themes of Christian indoctrination, queer identity, and first-gen disillusionment with the same signature irreverence fans of his comedy and acting have come to know and love.
