That weekly pep talk from your best friend that leaves you feeling UNSTOPPABLE. This is the podcast for the woman ready to reinvent her world from the inside out - the one making her own rules, rewriting her story, and remembering who the f**k she is. Unfiltered. Unapologetic. Undeniable. I’m Gemma James - podcaster & journalist. In 2017 I was about to turn 30, recently widowed, newly jobless, and on the edge of losing my home - trying to figure out who I was without everything I’d built my whole identity around. But what do we do when life throws us the ultimate plot twist? We rewrite the story. This is a podcast about the rewrite. It’s a place for real talk on what it actually takes to rebuild your life from the inside out - and stories from the women who’ve lived it. Because here’s the thing no one wants you to know… You get to have as many new beginnings as you want. No matter how many times you think you’ve failed, how lost you feel, or how ‘late’ you think you are. Muse Yourself isn’t just a podcast - it’s a full frequency shift. It’s where we start living unapologetically as the main character and lead the way for other women to do the same. Expect intimate, unfiltered conversations on reinvention, healing, self-love, and what it really takes to rebuild your world from the inside out. Through raw storytelling and soul-led interviews, we explore the power of starting over, turning pain into purpose, and stepping into the life you were BORN to create. If you're a woman who's ready to rise - unapologetically and on your own terms - you're in the right place. Because it’s never too late to change the plot.

  • 59. Stop Living In The Past: How To STOP Keeping Yourself Stuck, And Align With The Life You Actually Want
    Feb 17 2026

What if the only thing standing between you and the life you want is the story you’re telling yourself about why you can’t have it?

In this short solo episode, I’m talking about why so many of us unknowingly keep ourselves stuck by recycling our old narratives from the past. Whether it’s failed relationships or career struggles, it can be so easy to believe that history will repeat itself…but this DOESN’T need to be your story.

    Inside this episode:

    * Why your brain defaults to limiting stories - and how to override it.

    * How to spot the inner voice that’s keeping you small.

    * A simple mindset shift to help you stop living in “probability” and start living in possibility.

    * Why your past (or your present) does NOT define your future.

    * How to choose new stories that empower, expand, and align with the life you actually want to create.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re constantly living by your past, this is the episode for you - a reminder that’s it’s never too late to change the story…

    Until next time,

  • 58. Your New Life Will Cost You Your Old One: Stepping Into Your Next Chapter
    Feb 10 2026

Muses, you already know when it’s time to release what no longer serves you.

Whether it’s a relationship, a job, a place, or an old identity, your intuition is always guiding you…what would change if you trusted it?

    In this episode I’m covering:

    * How to recognise the inner nudge that it’s time to move on

    * Why letting go is an act of trust in your highest self

    * The natural “grieving” process that can come with expansion - and why it’s not something to avoid, but a sign of growth

    * How to create space for aligned opportunities, people, and experiences to flow in

    * What it looks like to walk forward with faith, even before the path is clear

Let this be your reminder that everything you want is already waiting for you…all you have to do is trust yourself enough to step into it.

    Until next time X

  • 57. A Guide To Blowing Up Your Life: How To Quit It All And Travel The World Full Time, With Lane Scott Jones
    Feb 3 2026

What if you could walk away from it all and start again?

    Hi Muses,

In this episode of Muse Yourself, I’m joined by writer and speaker Lane Scott-Jones.

Lane is a Pushcart Prize-nominated writer, speaker, and the voice behind Second Rodeo, a Substack newsletter about reinvention and lifestyle design. Her writing has been published in Longreads, Good Grit, the Nashville Scene, and she’s been a featured speaker at events hosted by TEDx, Creative Mornings, Soho House, and more - and today she’s joining me for a refreshingly honest conversation about reinvention, systematically dismantling everything to start over on your OWN terms, and redesigning your life, one experiment at a time.

After the end of her marriage Lane did something so many of us fantasise about - she sold everything she owned, packed a suitcase, began travelling the world full-time..and has lived out of a carry-on ever since. This isn’t just a story about a change of location, but a complete dismantling of the beliefs, expectations, and “default paths” so many of us have been living by, and what’s on the other side when we FINALLY start asking: “Am I living the life I’ve chosen? Or the one I’ve been told to choose?”

    Together, we’re talking about:

    * Why so many of us follow a life blueprint we never consciously chose

    * The quiet grief of losing touch with your own inner knowing

    * How reinvention doesn’t have to be reckless - it can be intentional and strategic

    * Why travel can be a powerful gateway to rebuilding self-trust

    * Letting go of the need for permission, approval, or certainty

    * The fear of being seen trying - and why it keeps so many women stuck

    * Redefining success, safety, and stability on your own terms

This conversation is for anyone who feels the pull toward a different kind of life - one that might not make sense to everyone else, but feels deeply true to you. You don’t need a crisis to begin again. You don’t need to have it all figured out.

And never forget…you’re allowed to want more.

    Until next time X
